Helping Hands

Ramsgate RSL were proud to recently build 3 prosthetic hands which have now been delivered to amputee landmine victims in Cotabato, Philippines through the ‘Helping Hands Program’.

The Helping Hands Program which was founded within Australia has been building and delivering prosthetic hands since 2012. The hands play an important role in giving independence back to those who had lost the use of their arms due to landmines and other major accidents.

The need of prosthetic hands continues at an increasing rate with 2000 landmines accidents occurring throughout the world each month – that equates to 1 every 20 minutes!
