Koala Adoption

It has now been more than 12 months since the 2019/20 bush fire devastation where more than 12 million hectares of Australian land was burnt. It has been estimated that nearly 3 billion animals were impacted, including thousands of koalas, kangaroos, wallabies, birds and other iconic wildlife.

To show our support and to help with the conservation and expansion of habitat of wild koalas, we have adopted two Koala’s from the Koala Hospital in Port Macquarie; LINR Anwen & Lion Leo!

Winter Appeal

During Winter, in an effort to raise awareness and funds for the homeless, Ramsgate RSL members, guests and staff helped to raise over $1,000 to be able to purchase sleeping bags and blankets to support the homeless in our local area. The Salvation Army helped to distribute those items to those in need.

Bush Fire Support

Supporting victims of the recent bushfires, Ramsgate RSL collected the proceeds of raffle ticket sales and donations from patrons, board and team members to be donated to The Red Cross. The total donations raised were $12,780.46.

Ramsgate RSL also collected 65 knitted pouches that were donated to WIRES to help the recovery of injured wildlife.
