In accordance with ASIC requirements, the Board provides notice to the members of the club that the existing auditors of the club, Ernst & Young, tendered their resignation. It was resolved by the Board on 31/08/2017 that the resignation of Ernst & Young be accepted. On 3 October 2017, the club received notification of consent from ASIC for the resignation of Ernst & Young.
The Board conducted an extensive tender process for the external audit role. Based on the submissions received and a detailed review by the Board of all applicants, Maher Partners Assurance Pty Limited were considered the most suitable applicant for the role of external auditor. Maher Partners are a local-based audit and accounting firm specialising in licenced club audits, with over 50 years combined experience in the club industry and servicing a vast network of licenced clubs across Sydney and regional New South Wales. A search conducted of the register of auditors maintained by ASIC confirmed that the managing director and lead audit partner of Maher Partners, Mr Jason Maher, is a registered auditor and meets all the necessary requirements of the Corporations Act. The Board resolved to appoint Maher Partners as the new auditor of the club.
Maher Partners has consented to act as auditor of the club. We look forward to establishing a long and productive relationship with Maher Partners as the new auditors of the club.

Mr David Moorcroft has been announced as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Ramsgate RSL Club, officially taking up his new role in July.
Club President, Mrs Sallianne Faulkner, said, “It has been an intensive and long process to select a candidate. We received well over 60 applications. We invited a select number of applicants to the first interview which were independently assessed by club industry consultants, Integrated Governance. A small group went to the final interview with the Board of Directors. David was outstanding during that process.”
